Students, shells and a healthier bay
We bring students, restaurants and neighbors together to restore the bays of the East End.
Since 2022, local students have helped us build five oyster reefs in Accabonac and Three Mile Harbors. Their monitoring shows our oysters growing, and wild oysters have started settling on our first reef on their own.
Along the way they learn oyster gardening, reef building and water science, and our scholarship helps graduating seniors carry that work forward.
